Story

Raised on opposite coasts — he in Massachusetts, she in Northern California — John and Sophie met in Chicago after college drew them both to the Midwest. He studied at Notre Dame, she at Loyola, unknowingly laying the groundwork for the life they’d build just a few years later. What began as a natural and easy connection quickly evolved into something enduring.

John proposed on a warm spring evening in Chicago, on the same walk they took on their second date in the neighborhood they now live in. By summer, they brought home their puppy, Honey, and have spent the months since savoring newly engaged life — balancing wedding planning, careers, and the momentum that comes with raising a very loved dog in the city.

With deep gratitude for the faith that brought them together, they are excited to celebrate the sacrament of marriage at the St. James Chapel in Chicago in August. They look forward to celebrating with the family and friends whose love and presence have shaped every chapter of their story.
